Planed Assassination of Danish Cartoonist

Denmark’s three main newspapers today have decided to reprint the infamous, ‘Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons,’ following the arrest of three suspected terrorists reportedly planning the assassination of the cartoonist responsible for the drawings.
Danish cartoonist, Kurt Westergaard, gained worldwide fame in the western world and worldwide infamy in the Muslim world when he scribbled 12 satirical cartoons negatively depicting the Islamic Prophet Mohammed in late 2005.
The ‘Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons’ were printed in 2005 in the Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten and upon release the drawings – one depicted the prophet wearing a bomb on his head resting on top of his turban – sparked worldwide protest and condemnation from the world’s Muslim population and forced Westergaard to a life living in hiding under police protection .
