I'm Voting Republican

June 12th 2008 09:16
I found this site on Digg and it is truly a gem; the author details why someone should “vote” Republican. No, I will never vote Republican despite my agreement when it comes to certain national security issues. The bottom line for me is that the American security situation has improved hugely hence security should not be anyone’s major concern when they vote, instead voters should consider the policies that each candidate intends to implement in order to fix the economy. The GOP’s tax breaks for the rich and the companies haven’t worked so it’s time to change the fundamental’s of how the american economy operates in order to keep the USA competitve. This video is for all those democrats who might be thinking of voting for Senator McCain:

Hey Ruby, was a great video, and took me a while to realize it was a satire. It does make a lot of good points in a simple manner and a democrat could not ask for more.

The only problem is, have the Democrats lived up to their promises to make things better since they took over Congress? Don't they just keep giving Bush more money to spend in Iraq?

Hey guys, are you certain that this is satire? I am going to circulate the clip as evidence that I can see the GOP's point of view.

Satire? Nah.

i just dont feel i DESERVE health insurance . . . all other countries are inferior to us . . . i think the whole world should be one giant corporation! HAHAHA

it reminds be of a few right wing blogs ive seen floating around!

i dont understand this cowboy mentality of survival of the fittest, what is the appeal of going back to feudal times? they do realise that they will most likely be one of the serfs rather than the lord right?

i often hear ambitious australians say "if i was in america i would have mad it big by now" and i just think no hunny you would have been living on the streets dying of pneumonia . . . well really which is more likely for a person that doesnt start out in life with money?

Hey Morgan, it is pretty funny,

Hey Jim, I am pretty sure it is a satire, if you visit the actual site and click "more about this movie." They list a better explanation.

I am aware that this is satire -- it just that the contents mirror the expressed views of certain Orble writers (e.g., SL) and the folks at Fox/

Hey Jim, sorry about that, I never realized that there was a significant republican following here at Orble but I shouldn't be surprised, thanks for the update though.

Oh Crian, you have been missing out! Not just merely Republican either but "Bush is the greatest President ever and Anne Coutler is a truthsayer" type of Republicans.

Hilarious and disturbing in equal portions, i really wish that it was only in works of fiction that this type of comedy worked.

Great post Crian, thanks for the laughs and fear.

GREAT post! I have no idea which way I am going to vote. I know that I'm a conservative without a doubt. I have very old fashioned values.

Hey Ruby, it's that serious... well good to know even more.

It was pretty funny john but a fair bit disturbing at the same time given the issues at hand.

If had to break down the voting process for me, it would be 1 part values, 1 part current situation and 1 part the future of the country.
